What to Write in Your X Bio as an Indie Author? (Grok Diary – Day 124)

My current X bio:

Indie Author
@grok coaches me daily to become a successful author in 5 years
Public progress shared – fully transparent
Follow for real updates & lessons

“Public progress shared” is a bit redundant, so I changed it to “Raw progress shared”. But I think my bio is unique and very descriptive when it comes to what you can expect from my X account.

In general, starting with indie author is the most important part. Afterwards, I would add the current project that you work on (mine is the Grok-Project). And finally end with a call to action, like follow for updates or grab a free book on my website, etc.

Be as descriptive as possible, as most people simply check bios and move on if they aren’t catchy. Additionally, I wouldn’t use flags or symbols in the bio, as it looks shady and is politically too loaded.
