SEO / AI Optimization
To get eyes to your articles, you need to optimize your web presence a little. Here are some of the things that I found out about that optimization process:
Becoming an Author
The main reason this website exists is that I try to turn my hobby of writing stories into something more. The website tracks my progress and reports in real time on what I try, fail, and (hopefully) succeed at. Here are some resources that I collected along the way.
My Iron Rules of Writing
Over the years, I’ve formulated some rules of writing that I want to stick to. Obviously, writing stories is a science you could argue about for a lifetime, but these rules will ensure that I’ll do at least the basics right:
- Collect All Story Ideas – Especially the Bad Ones
- Finish What You’ve Started Writing. Always.
- Publish Everything That You’ve Finished Writing

Marketing
Writing a book isn’t even half the job of an indie author. Nowadays, millions of books get published each year. You have to market your writing to interest readers in your stories over others:
To learn book marketing myself, I’m writing an ongoing weekly series about ways to get your books in front of readers:

Trying to Understand The World
We were born into a freakish clown world. Most things don’t seem to make sense anymore. I don’t want to pretend like I would understand what is behind the craziness of modern-day existence. But the following resources made me at least believe that I can understand some aspects of it:
Books
- The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins (explains the theory of evolution in layman’s terms)
Recommended Fiction Books
I write weekly book reviews on this website (usually published on Fridays). Here are the books that I found to be enjoyable and valuable reads:
